Holly Hunter was an American actress, who gained fame due to her roles in films Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. The actress has received numerous awards for her work, including an Oscar. Actresses have a long career of involvement in Broadway as well as Off-Broadway initiatives. It has always been her love of life. In fifth grade, she portrayed Helen Keller in an original play. Mumps led her to lose her hearing in one of her ears, but this did not stop her from following her dreams. The college she attended was drama after which she moved from Pittsburgh and moved to New York City to follow her dreams. She was introduced to Beth Henley in an elevator and they worked together to make Broadway Crimes of the Heart, Hunter's first film. Following her move to Los Angeles she tried to get film roles and bagged an acting role as a support for the role of a supporting character in Swing Shift. Since then, she has appeared in several movies, television shows and films over the course of her 30-year career. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame actor and won Women in Film Lucy Award.
